This is not legal advice. It’s a plain description of the terms for using this site, written by the person who runs it.

What this site is

League Openings is a directory of open spots in fantasy sports leagues (NBA and NFL at launch). We don’t run leagues, host drafts, or manage teams. We list openings that commissioners post, and we link out to the platforms where those leagues actually live.

Listings

• Posting a listing costs $5 USD per season, flat.
• You’re responsible for the accuracy of what you post. Don’t post a listing you don’t have authority to post.
• We can remove any listing that’s abusive, NSFW, a scam, off-topic, or otherwise breaks the rules page, without notice and without refund.
• Full listing rules live at https://leagueopenings.com/rules.

Boosts

• Boosts are optional payments, minimum $1, that raise a listing’s rank on its sport’s board.
• Boost totals are cumulative and never expire.
• Boosts are not refundable.
• Rank shown before you pay is a snapshot and can change before payment lands.

Payments

• Stripe processes all payments. We never see or store your card number.
• All listing fees and boosts are final. No refunds, for any reason, including removed listings.
• Prices are in USD.

Managing your listing

• We don’t use accounts or passwords. You manage your listing through a link emailed to the address you gave us.
• Keep that email accessible. If you lose access to it, contact support@leagueopenings.com.

Acceptable use

Don’t use this site to:

• Post anything NSFW, scam, abusive, or unrelated to fantasy sports leagues.
• Scrape, spam, or abuse the join-request or boost systems, or contact commissioners for anything other than joining their league.
• Impersonate someone else or misrepresent your authority over a league.

Breaking these terms can get your listing removed and future listings blocked, without refund.

Refunds, disputes, and chargebacks

Listing fees and boosts are final. Being outbid is not a fault and is not refundable. If a payment did not show up, a listing shows the wrong thing, or you see a charge you do not recognize, email support@leagueopenings.com before opening a dispute or chargeback. It is faster, and we would rather fix it than argue about it. Nothing here removes rights that cannot legally be waived.

No guarantees

We don’t guarantee a listing gets filled, that request counts reflect real interest, or that any linked league or platform is safe, active, or legitimate. You’re dealing directly with the commissioner and the platform they use.

Liability

This site is provided as is. To the extent allowed by law, we’re not liable for disputes between you and a commissioner, a platform, or another user, or for any loss related to a league you found here. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the listing in question. This site is run by one person and comes with no uptime guarantee.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Nothing in them removes consumer protections you have where you live. A change to these terms never applies retroactively to a listing already paid for.

Who runs this

League Openings is operated by a sole proprietor based in Ontario, Canada.

Changes

We can update these terms. If a change is meaningful, we’ll update the effective date at the top of this page.
